About Gallatin Valley Centering Prayer
Valerie, Rex and Dick have all completed the two-year course of study at the Center for Action and Contemplation’s Living School.
Contemplative prayer and in particular, Centering Prayer is strongly encouraged as part of a contemplative life style. The three met to discuss how to provide opportunities for group gathering Centering Prayer in Bozeman, MT. Gallatin Valley Centering prayer was tentatively and prayerfully launched in October 2019.
Our mission is to offer a time and a place for a ‘sit’ and to provide instruction/discussion around the topic of Centering Prayer, as taught by Father Thomas Keating (1923-2018), founder of Contemplative Outreach.

When COVID-19 became a reality in March 2020, we went to a ZOOM format and have remained on that venue until today. It is our goal to continue to offer weekly sits via ZOOM, but to expand to monthly instruction/discussion opportunities in person.
Then tentative goal for that offering is early 2022.
Gallatin Valley Centering Prayer welcomes all persons from all faith traditions to join in seeking the presence of God through Centering Prayer.
